CII workshop on Advancing Elder Care Awareness and Age-Inclusive Values

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), through its Senior Care Initiative, launched Umang Ki Paathshala – Bridging Generations, a Healthy Ageing School Workshop designed to nurture empathy, respect, and meaningful connections between young minds and older generations.

As India moves towards becoming an ageing society, it is essential to build awareness about healthy ageing from an early age. Through interactive sessions, engaging activities, and intergenerational learning experiences, the workshop encouraged students to appreciate the values, wisdom, and lived experiences of senior citizens while promoting active and healthy ageing.

The initiative goes beyond the classroom - encouraging students to carry these lessons home, engage with grandparents and elders in their own families and communities, and become ambassadors of respect and care for the elderly. By fostering dialogue between generations, Umang Ki Paathshala helps break down stereotypes around ageing and builds a culture of mutual learning and support.

Umang Ki Paathshala aims to inspire children to become compassionate, responsible, and age-inclusive citizens, strengthening the bonds that connect generations.
