The CII Teacher Training Workshop on NEP 2020 – PARAKH’s Holistic Progress Cards (HPCs) is an ongoing initiative by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to strengthen educator readiness for implementing holistic, competency-based student assessments aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The workshops are designed to help schools move beyond traditional examination systems and adopt meaningful, learner-centric evaluation practices.

As part of this initiative, three successful batches have been conducted in 2025 so far — Batch 1 on 30–31 January in New Delhi, Batch 2 on 18–19 February in New Delhi and Batch 3 on 8–9 May in Gurugram, Haryana. Each batch saw the active participation of over 50 educators, including school principals, teachers, education experts, and EdTech professionals from a wide cross-section of schools and organisations across the Delhi NCR region.

Designed to equip educators with practical tools and frameworks, the workshops focus on the effective implementation of Holistic Progress Cards (HPCs). Participants engage in interactive sessions, insightful discussions, and hands-on activities centred around competency mapping, development of assessment rubrics, and crafting meaningful, formative assessment tasks. The sessions foster collaborative learning, encouraging educators to explore strategies that integrate awareness, sensitivity, creativity, and critical thinking into classroom assessments.

The workshops have been enthusiastically received by the education community, reflecting a collective commitment to aligning school practices with the goals of NEP 2020. By providing a platform for experiential learning and dialogue, the initiative continues to empower educators to create comprehensive, inclusive, and future-ready assessment systems that support the holistic development of every learner.
