The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is hosting the 9th National School Education Summit on 20 August 2025 in New Delhi, with the theme: ‘Transforming Education: Shaping India’s Future Schools’.

As India reimagines its education system in line with the National Education Policy (NEP), the Summit aims to bring together a diverse group of policymakers, educators, school leaders, EdTech experts, and thought leaders to deliberate on the critical shifts needed in school education to build future-ready learners.

A special highlight of the Summit is the national-level competition for school principals, titled “The School I Want by 2030”, where visionary leaders will present their ideas for the school of the future, focusing on innovation, inclusivity, and 21st-century skills.

The Summit will feature three key sessions focusing on priority areas for school transformation:

AI in Education: Opportunities, Challenges & Ethics

This session explores how AI can support teachers, parents, and students in enhancing learning, personalising education, and easing classroom tasks—while addressing concerns around ethics, creativity, and independent thinking. It aims to promote thoughtful and balanced integration of AI in school education.
Future of STEM Education: Inspiring the Next Generation

This session will explore how to expand the role of STEM education in schools to build a scientific temper, foster critical thinking, and develop tech-driven, job-oriented skills. It will highlight inclusive teaching approaches, hands-on learning, and the importance of STEM in preparing students for a rapidly evolving world.
Capacity Building of Educators: Key to Student’s Success

This session will highlight the critical role of empowering educators through continuous professional development, training in new pedagogies, and use of technology. It will explore how building teacher capacity directly enhances student learning outcomes, fosters innovation in classrooms, and equips teachers to meet evolving educational needs.
