CII Schools Forum

All India 2025 August Onwards

The CII Schools’ Forum is a national platform for schools created to strengthen India’s school education ecosystem through collaboration, knowledge sharing, capacity building, and collective action. Schools today operate in an increasingly complex environment, shaped by curriculum transitions, growing concerns around student and teacher well-being, rising parental expectations, rapid technological change, and the need for continuous professional development. While these challenges are widely shared, schools often address them in isolation, with limited opportunities for structured collaboration or system-level engagement. The Forum has been established to respond to this need by bringing schools together on a common platform to share experiences, learn from peers, and collectively work towards improving the quality and effectiveness of school education across the country.

An initiative supported by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the CII Schools’ Forum provides a structured mechanism for engagement among schools. It supports schools across key domains including teacher professional development, leadership development, curriculum and assessment practices, school administration, and governance, with a strong emphasis on reforms aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Through peer learning platforms, consultations, leadership forums, and research-driven engagements, the Forum enables schools to exchange best practices and collaboratively address shared challenges. At the system level, it facilitates informed dialogue with Central and State authorities, contributing evidence-based insights and practical recommendations rooted in school-level realities.

Launched on 20 August 2025 in New Delhi, the CII Schools’ Forum is envisioned as a long-term initiative of CII’s Education Department. In the coming years, the Forum plans to undertake a range of initiatives, including thematic leadership forums, educator capacity-building programmes, research and knowledge publications, school leadership competitions, exposure visits, and partnerships with national and global institutions. Through sustained engagement and collaborative action, the Forum aims to act as a catalyst for excellence, inclusivity, and systemic improvement - empowering schools to navigate change, influence reform, and contribute to building a future-ready generation aligned with India’s development goals.
