7^th CII National School Education Summit and CII Inter-School Quiz Competition on Environment & Sustainability

After the announcement of National Education Policy 2020, the Education Sector is undergoing a transformational change. Focus has been increasing more on employability and technology driven teaching. In one hand this has made the stakeholders in the Education Sector differently on the other hand it has thrown new challenges to them which needs attention on priority basis and needs to be addressed. This is a key aspect in implementation of NEP.

To develop a roadmap addressing the above issues and chalk out the way forward, CII in association with Ministry of Education is organising the seventh edition of School Education Summit with the theme. Integrating Vocational Skills and Digital Tech in School Education: Making a future-ready generation.

In addition to the summit, we were delighted to host the CII Inter-School Quiz Competition on Environment & Sustainability. This engaging competition showcased students' awareness and understanding of crucial environmental issues, fostering a sense of responsibility towards sustainability.

The 7th edition of National School Education Summit proposes to deliberate on challenges in imparting vocational skills and way forward, Foundational Literacy & Numeracy, technology infrastructure in schools besides addressing mental health & wellness issues in schools, to make a future ready generation for the nation.

The Summit saw participation of stakeholders from Government, Boards, Autonomous bodies, Public and Private Sector entities engaged in the education sector, Multilateral Agencies, Ed Tech Companies, Agencies working in Vocational Education, Consulting firms, besides many others from the School Education fraternity in India.

Highlights of the event included launch of 2nd edition of CII Deloitte YeSSE report along with insightful discussions on challenges and opportunities in imparting vocational skills, foundational literacy, technology infrastructure, and mental health and wellness in schools. These topics are pivotal in shaping a future-ready generation prepared to navigate the complexities of the modern world.
