CII Higher Education Global Partnership Mission to United Kingdom 2025

CII Education Department organised a Higher Education Global Partnership Mission to United Kingdom from 18–23 June 2025, with a 22 member delegation comprising of VCs, Pro VCs, Professors from both Government and Private Higher Education Institutions, CEOs, Senior Executives from Start Ups and Indian MNCs across India. The delegation visited six Higher Education Institutions/Universities — University of Edinburgh, University of Cambridge, University of Warwick, University of Oxford, Imperial College London and University College London. The programme also included participation in the 2nd Edition of India – Oxford Forum at Said Business School, attended by global education leaders, industry leaders, youth changemakers and multilateral representatives. A Roundtable was also organised by the British Council, Scotland with leading 8 Scottish Universities and the CII Delegation on collaboration opportunities.

The delegation members had an enriching experience during their visits to these Universities, where they showcased the high quality research they are pursuing in areas like AI, LLM, Robotics, Healthcare, Climate Challenges, to name a few. Besides, they have also highlighted their openness to research collaborations, faculty and student exchange programmes, and the mechanism to get engaged with them.

The delegation also had a call on meeting with Mr Vikram Doraiswami, Indian High Commissioner in the UK. The conversation focused on strengthening the ongoing and exploring new areas of collaboration between India and the UK in the fields of education, research, and innovation. These discussions reflect our commitment to advancing higher education and fostering deeper partnerships between our two nations.
