Case Study Competition on Integration and Delivery of Vocational Education in Schools in India

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a Case Study Competition on "Integration and Delivery of Vocational Education in Schools in India."

The competition aims to highlight innovative models through which schools are integrating vocational education into their curriculum in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The competition forms part of the 10th CII Global School Education Summit 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi (date to be announced).

Objective

• To understand and highlight how schools are integrating vocational education into their academic framework
• To assess the broader impact of vocational integration on enhancing students' life skills, employability skills, and industry readiness

Competition Structure

The competition will be conducted in two stages:

Stage 1: Submission of Case Study

• Schools are invited to submit a case study describing how vocational education has been integrated into their school's academic and learning framework

Stage 2: Presentation at the Summit

• The Top 5 entries shortlisted by the jury will be invited to present their case studies at the 10th CII Global School Education Summit 2026 in New Delhi
• Based on the presentations, the Top 3 schools will be selected by the jury and recognised as winners

Suggested Structure for the Case Study

Schools may structure their case study using the following format:

• Introduction and Objectives
• Key Actions, Initiatives and Implementation Strategy
• Outcomes, Impact and Insights
• Conclusion

Key Areas to be Covered

Schools are encouraged to address the following themes:

• Vocational Integration: Alignment of vocational courses with the academic curriculum
• Student-Centred Learning: Competency-based learning and practical assessments
• Curriculum Innovation: Interdisciplinary and experiential skill-based learning models
• Teacher Capacity Building: Training, upskilling, and academic or industry collaborations
• Industry & Community Linkages: Engagement with parents, local industry, and community stakeholders
• Student Engagement: Involvement in national or international skill-based initiatives and competitions

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to all Public and Private Schools in India
• Schools affiliated with any recognised board are eligible
• Foreign branches of Indian schools are not eligible
• Indian branches of foreign schools are not eligible

Registration & Payment

• CII Forum Schools: ₹1000 + GST
• Other Schools: ₹2000 + GST

Non-Forum Schools (schools which are not part of the CII Schools' Forum)
CII Forum Schools (schools which are part of the CII Schools' Forum)

Note: The registered participant (school representative submitting the case study) will receive complimentary entry to attend the Summit, along with one additional representative from the school. A separate delegate registration will not be required.

Register through the links given above, and send your writeup based on the key areas, in the format given below:

• Submission deadline: 15 July 2026
• Format: Word document (.docx)
• Filename should be: <Name of School> _ Vocational Case Study _ <1 or 2>
• Font: Arial or Times New Roman, Size 12
• Maximum length: 2000 words
• Up to 6 photographs may be included (within the document or attached separately)
• Up to two entries per school are permitted

Conditions

• Name of the school shall not be mentioned within the writeup
• Submissions must be original work of the institution
• Entries must be written in English
• Submissions should clearly address the competition theme
• AI-generated content will not be accepted
• Plagiarism will not be accepted
• Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered
• Registration fee once paid is non-refundable
• Decision of the Jury will be final and binding
